Waterloo Drainage Pros is a locally owned drainage contractor serving Waterloo and all of Black Hawk County, Iowa. We install french drains, bury downspout lines, set catch basins and dry wells, correct grading, run exterior footing drains, and route sump discharge. Waterloo straddles the Cedar River on flat Iowa clay and loam. The soil holds water, and the low streets near the river keep the water table high, so soggy yards and damp basements are the everyday complaint here. Snowmelt in spring and hard rain in summer both push more water than the ground can take. We do not try to make clay drain. We build the water a path out, in perforated pipe and washed #57 stone, wrapped in filter fabric and sloped to a lower exit.
